East Bay for Everyone is proud to be a large volunteer organization composed of many members working towards a better future for the East Bay with allies who are equally as diverse. Our endorsement process is democratic and voted upon by members. It has recently come to our attention that one of our co-executives is a member of a PAC spending corporate money in the Oakland city council election. East Bay For Everyone was not aware of his actions as these actions at no point were communicated to the membership of the organization, and we are not associated with the PAC. The co-executive has agreed to take a leave of absence from his leadership roles in EB4E while he is associated with the PAC.
We will revisit our bylaws and internal processes to ensure this incident is not repeated.
